Day 11...Thursday, Schronnbrunn Palace Interior To-day

Remember this is a blog & it updates backwards! Go to the bottom and find the first post if you want to get the gist of this in sequence...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Went on the wrong bus to-day & ended up over the Danube again, which was good as my batteries were flat the day before. I got some really good shots from the bus.
Took another wrong bus, but wanted to go to the State Opera Theatre anyways, so I got that one out of the way!
Pretty awesome heritage, the Austrians have here!

Vienna has 1.6 million people, is 414 sq kms big & is 180 mtrs above sea level... Correction to a previous post...Bus tour figures from yesterday!

Out our 5th floor bedroom window at 9am.

The sun is very low in the sky all day...Like 10am or 4pm in Australia

Traditional Town Cryer outfits, worn by ticket sellers to various venues.

Outside Opera House at 11am

Doing a tour of Opera House at 2pm to-day, Thursday

The Parks & Gardens HQ! Right in the Park. 2,780 parks to manage...

First view of Danube from bus!

Crossing one of 4 parts of Danube...This is the Danube Canal

Forgot!

Old & New Wheels. The Old one (R) was built in 1890 something & still goes...

New part of Vienna, over the bridge

The following are ordinary suburban homes. Imagine the trees in spring

United Nations Building

The real Danube!

On Danube Island...the land strip between the 4 parts of the Danube

A College built by Franz Joseph back in 1890 ish, for people to study!

Just pretty buildings!

The Imperial Hotel, One of the most elite hotels of the World. Full of dignatories. I went in...awesome!

Note the walk ways, bike ways, car ways, tram ways!

See the old brick wall in Left back? Part of the old city walls, Franz Joseph tore down so the people could access the beautiful city

Wagner, was an architect too & he designed a lot of buildings. This, the Post Office

Out the bus window! X marks the spot!

The music hall where I go on Fri night for the Mozart & Strauss Concert.

Everything is designed for the comfort & pleasure of their people in Vienna!

Have a dose of poison? Can also buy beer on the streets!

Dose...hahaha!

Before I went into the State Opera Theatre, I had lunch, soup & a bubbles at the Opera Restaurant.
3.30E for a glass of water & only 5.60 for Goulash Soup (large)!
