Day's 23 & 24 ...Wednesday, 16th Feb...Up & Into It Again!

Remember this is a blog & it updates backwards! Go to the bottom and find the first post if you want to get the gist of this in sequence...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Sorry about skipping a day...I didn't realize I had until to-day...
OK...Out of the sick bed at last & getting around again...Headaches almost gone, joint pains gone & another early nite tonite should see me sunny & bright again. Went to bed at 4pm yesterday & stayed in bed until 10am today & that seemed to work well.

The current group of boys in the room are great.
A Dutch Policeman, a French engineer& a Biologist from USA.

The Dutch guy (29yrs old) cooked a massive goulash with lots of potatoes & rice & I'm just eating some potatoes & salt only.
Feel heaps better already!

Here are the boys.
Jonathan, from Paris, Jonathon from Boston, USA, Frank from Amsterdam.
Talk about geek land! They all sit & type away at 100 mph...
Frank is very active in the "Couch Surfing" forum.  They put people up for the night, sorta like home based Hostels..
He's off to see some of the people he meets thru that. One is in Latvia & others are all over. He quit his job for a year & is hoping to live here. He loves Prague!
Jonathon, the Paris one, is studying & the other one is on a 2 month trip around Europe.

Funny thing is here, they don't seem to have much salt in their food, or maybe in Australia we have too much!
The other funny thing is, you can't buy aspirin or paracetamol in the supermarkets, you must buy in the pharmacy.
hahaha!
But in the supermarket you can buy 70 % spirits !
It's like an Aldi store the supermarkets here...In amongst the lettuce, you'll find underwear, CD's & sox in Aldi at home. Here, next to the eggs is Vodka. Next to the soup mix are wines...it's just so funny!

Here is the other surprise...I went down town to get some celery to put in my soup the other day & couldn't find any.
To-day I went back & was looking at all the strange root vegies & found this big thing, the size of a big grapefruit, which smelled like celery.
I "asked" a few ladies, by gesturing & so on, what it was & they said "Celery for salat & soooouup".

I gestured that we ate the top part, the stalks & they shook their heads, saying "nah, nah, not goot, dis goot" as they pointed to the massive thing.

It's as good a pic as I could get. See the capsicum & parsnip next to it for comparison?

Last night there was a girl from Slovakia, a guy from Brazil, the Dutch guy, the French guy & me in the dorm..
To-day the girl from Slovakia & the guy from Brazil went & this arvo, the guy from USA came. That happens every day.
It's quite dizzying, actually!

Total Spend...
800cz for ticket to Munich...That's about $44 Ausd.
Had to buy another night here, for 190 cz ($10.55) as the bus doesn't go to Munich at a suitable time for me on Tuesday next, so I had to buy a Wed ticket, which meant another night here.
Bought that celery thing/root ball & some more Panadol & a couple of Soup mixes, to get some salt & some grapes & oranges...150 cz...about $8 .30 Ausd.

Total Spend To-day...$62.80.

See ya!
